Today in Osijek, a Croatian city in Eastern Slavonia, we held a legal-musical forum where we discussed the rights of musicians in the digital age. Namely, the new law on copyright and related rights is not enforceable after the third year, and in addition, it takes away the rights to freedom of contract and retroactivity is particularly inadmissible. Former Minister of Justice Vesna Škare Ozbolt, a lawyer from the law firm Korper and partners Valentina Sokec, a lawyer from the law firm Marković, Grbavac, and Gliha Sandra Marković, a lawyer from the law firm Marković, Grbavac, and Gliha Dino Gliha and head of the office of the Croatian Discography Association and the director of the Association for the Protection, Collection and Distribution of Phonographic Rights Fees, Maja Vidmar Klarić spoke on the panel.
